1) Your dog might shiver. If it's terrible, you can see it. But if they're cold, you can feel your dog shivering, even if it's not apparent when you look at them.
2) Going outside isn't as much fun if your dog is cold, so they might refuse or hesitate to go out.
3) Dogs curl up into a ball for several reasons, but being cold is undoubtedly one of them, so if your dog is curled up, they might be uncomfortable.
4) If your dog isn't warm enough, they might stand with their tail tucked and head down. Usually, their back will be arched up too.

4) have a lean build?
